20 years ago in Leeds. West Ham away. We were in the Scarborough Hotel pub. Only about 5 of us and we got set about by some huge blokes. They went for my biggest mate. To be fair the Leeds fans and the bar staff told them to fuck off and were calling police. Then when it all settled the smallest one lumped me from the side and caught me right in my jaw-bone that sticks out under you ear. The dirty snidy cunt. Fuck me did it hurt. The Leeds fans in there said to us to get going as they will come back. About ten of them. Large as Vikings. Probably not the best pub to drink in though but was young and stupid.

About 1978 was the last time that I was caught on the chin with a good lunch. I had been boxing for about two years and was waiting for a couple of school bullies to try it on.
Fortunately for him, I had been in an autercation two weeks prior to this and my mum was called into school. To see the hurt in my mum's eyes was enough to make me turn the other cheek.
The last time some tried to punch me with little effect was whilst playing rugby in the mid eighties. I simply told him he needed to learn to punch 50 percent harder and with 40percent more accuracy for it to have any effect on me and that I would see him in the home fixture. Much to the amusement of both teams. As with most rugby matches we settled for a drink together in the bar. Happy days.

It must have been around 1982/3. I was sharing a flat with my best mate who, like I, is Welsh. Another of our mates, again Welsh, was in town. So the three of us and me and my mate's girlfriends went into Richmond for a few beers after watching Wales beat England in the then Four Nations.

We left a pub and were walking down Richmond High St, off to the next one, when three blokes suddenly appeared and, probably because me two mates had strong Welsh accents, hit us.

I went down (had had quite a few) and immediately sobered up, thinking 'right, this cunt is getting it'. I sprung up and then he hit me again. And I went down again. I thought 'right, he's crossed the line now'.

I once again got to my feet and saw that they were running away. I looked to my right and my best mate was sparked out on the road. I looked to my left and my other mate was conscious, but laying on the pavement in great pain.

Fuelled by the booze, I set off in pursuit of the three (what the fuck I was going to do if I'd caught up with them had not been considered). They were 20 meters or so ahead of me and walking towards them were two coppers. I shouted, "STOP THEM, they've just attacked us"! As the three approached the cops they split apart to let them run through.

By this time a black Mariah had turned up and out jumped a police inspector who looked about 28 and obviously fast-tracked. I confronted him and asked why his fucking coppers had just let three pass? He said 'Calm down sir, other I will have you arrested'. 'For what, getting smacked in the fucking face'? I replied. Which was when I was arrested and stuck in a cell for 6 hours.

I was charged with some made up charge and a few months later found not guilty.

The blokes that attacked us, well that just happens sometimes - but that snotty little fucking Inspector - I hope he got testicular cancer so couldn't make more little wannabe Hitlers.

At a bonfire night display down the local sports centre 29 years ago. I was 14 and decided to stick up for this bird who was getting hassled by a load of dickhead lads. One of them tapped me on the shoulder, I turned around and he got me right on the schnoz. I did wobble a bit. They all ran off laughing, I felt a bit stupid but the girl in question was impressed and I ended up fingering her the following night.

I'm by default a peaceful man. A few years back after a night in the town I was barged into by some Polish lads, having a few beers inside I accused them of escaping the Gulag, before you could say" Lech Welesa" I was on my
arse, caught by a beauty. To rub it in the bloke who hit me came over and helped me up calling me a silly English man.

Don't take the piss out of Polish builders.

Southend sea front a few years ago.

Not my making, the usual mass brawl where because your mates are involved, you also have to be.

Outnumbered 2 to 1 and got absolutely ruined.

More a case of punch, nut and kick in the face all at once.

Luckily my head at the time was made of granite, as a couple of the people I was with were getting stamped on while unconscious.

Blokes who attacked us were also punching girlfriends in the face and had a chap with a wheelchair with them who they just left in the middle of the road while fighting.

Quite amusing, as it was a load of Kent i was with as I worked with a girl and told her it was a good place for a beano.

They never came back again :o)

I got punched in the face (accidently) by Tom Hardy in Legend, i'm the guy who fights him at the bar, he drops a couple of headbutts on me, free's his arm for a couple of punches to the face with a knuckleduster and caught me with one.

11 years ago,courtesy of my ec Mrs. We had split up and i had moved out of our house but popped back there one evening to pick up some of my crap. She got on my case thr second i walked in the door,calling me every kind of cunt and worse which was totally justified due to my behaviour during a time when she was working up north. Anyway,instead of just taking it and going on my way i did what i always do when being abused and turned into a cocky sarcastic fucker. Not a wise move as she landed one bang on my chin and it shocked me more than anything as i had never seen her display any violent tendancies before.

This was surely the time to walk away but oh no,the opportunist in me suggested that this would be a great time for us to engage on a bout of angry sex. Unsurprisingly,this didnt appeal to the lady but giving me another clump did.

So having not had a whack since the days of terracing at football i copped 2 inside a minute off a bird.
Funnily enough we became great mates once all the bitternes had dissipitated and i am delighted to report that the forementioned angry sex did in fact end up taking place.
